being in a place like Baguio, people would most likely stay asleep longer because of the beautiful climate. that's my usual day when i'm there but not this trip.
we slept around 10:00pm the night before this day, i just brought my cousin Claire to Oh My Gulay and enjoyed the night view from there. we ate the delicious Putanesca with mango shake. we slept early as we've planned to see the city by dawn.
up by 5:00am ready to experience the city when most of the tourists are sleeping. but like the other provinces around the country, trading starts early morning there. we went down the unbusy Session road, quite unusual to see it this way when one is used to see it by day.
the daily newspapers coming from a five to six hour trip from Manila are the first to grab the people's attention just along the sidewalk of the Maharlika complex. others were segregating while some were already browsing.
walking along Magsaysay avenue passing by the city market, flowers and other ornaments dominate the sidewalk at that time. a large part of the market area still damaged from the fire months back.
meat, pork and chicken parts are sold this early with some sellers still looking sleepy. yet is definitely the busiest part of the city at that time.
the locals are the ones roaming around the market buying for the days needs. so different during daytime when tourists crowd this area for pasalubongs or souvenirs.
we continued walking down Magsaysay reaching the jeepney terminal. seeing crafts and vegetables unloaded from the big jeepneys. crafts which were most likely coming from the outskirts.
drivers are as busy making sure that their jeepneys are at its best for the busy day. Baguio seems to be just like the other towns in the country by dawn, only with a different climate.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!
